Client: Griffith Hack
Professional Development Program
Context
Griffith Hack is a leading Australian law firm specialising in the areas of Intellectual Property (IP), Trademark and Patents. With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, they have a diverse workforce with a wide range of skills and areas of expertise. Griffith Hack believes on distinguishing themselves from other firms by maximising IP from every angle. This brings with it challenges to continuously develop their staff and professional skills.
Objective
Griffith Hack engaged BSI to help build their professional development calendar. Through consultation with HR and the National Practice Group Managers, BSI identified the skillsets required to drive value with clients, to protect and leverage their IP, to maximise the client experience and achieve growth for the firm.
Deliverables
BSI developed a range of face to face professional development workshops that were delivered nationally throughout 2015 and 2016. These included programs to build social awareness and interpersonal influence, to develop professional profile and effective networks, to build assertiveness and clear communication and to negotiate positive outcomes with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
Outcome
These programs have achieved changes in mindset, focus and behaviour, which have in turn yielded positive results in the form of stronger relationships, greater client satisfaction, and increased profile of the firm and teams. Griffith Hack is now working with BSI on the development calendar for 2017 focussing on building leadership at all levels.
