Diploma of Leadership and Management
BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management
Our structured 10-month program reflects the role of individuals who are engaged to manage the work of others or to add value to or review management practices. Their role may be in any industry or organisational setting. Typically people in these roles will have considerable experience in their respective industries or vocational areas and combine an informed perspective of specific work requirements with their managerial approaches. The qualification requires a sound theoretical knowledge base and managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate own work or the work of a team.
Program Outcomes:
At the completion of this Program, you will have learned how to:
- Develop the skills you need to communicate effectively with colleagues and teams
- Equip yourself with models and frameworks to tackle everyday management challenges
- Strengthen your ‘hard skills’, like managing poor performance, being more directive and solving problems permanently.
- Develop the technical knowledge to manage projects and implement strategic operational plans.
- Develop your people skills through a journey of self-discovery and learning to recognise their team’s communication/behavioural/learning styles.
Successful completion of this program will result in the award of a BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management. Participants who do not successfully complete the full program will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for any unit/s of competency they have been deemed competent in.
PROGRAM OUTLINE:
The Program is delivered over 10 months using our blended model of delivery which uses a combination of face-to-face / workshops (including specialised Masterclass Sessions), on-line learning (though our Learning Management System known as eSPACE) and self-paced learning. The Program includes 9 days face-face (12 Units), delivered one day each month. Each session is followed by self-directed learning time that includes readings, negotiated workplace activities, work related projects and simulations/scenarios to be completed online.
Our blended delivery model is designed to enable the sharing through learning of leadership and management issues and experiences with likeminded people. The focus of this program is very much on “how to” apply key leadership and management principles into your business or workplace environment.
