BSI Learning’s Vocational Education Training (VET) in Prisons program is a joint initiative between the QLD Corrective Services and the QLD Department of Education, Training and Employment.

We are currently delivering the nationally accredited training program in 16 Correctional Centres and Probation and Parole district offices across QLD.

The main objective of this program is to support the rehabilitation of prisoners by creating education and training pathways that lead to employment and skill sets to assist prisoners with the reintegration into the community. We achieve this by customising our delivery to suit the corrective service environment. We also deliver both full qualifications and statement of attainments.

Accredited Training currently being delivered by our team includes:
•    Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)
•    Certificate II and III in Hospitality
•    Certificate II in Kitchen Operations
•    White Card
•    Certificate II and III in Cleaning Operations

We take pride in our high delivery standards as well the exceptional trainers who provide the prisoners with the support necessary to achieve positive outcomes. Our qualified and experienced trainers are inducted into working within each correctional centre. All trainers maintain industry currency to enable the offenders to gain real skills and insight into employment opportunities upon release.
